Instrument training can be the most rewarding and fun training throughout your career. The instrument rating allows you to fly video aircraft instruments and in the clouds.

Launch: Instrument Rating Course

Expand your knowledge and experience with the Instrument Rating Course

Don’t Let the Weather Get You Down

Earning your Private Pilot License is one step in building an aviation career, but the adventure doesn’t stop there. If you want to further your career as a commercial or airline pilot, adding an Instrument Rating to your license can help you get there.

The Instrument Rating gives you more flexibility as a pilot and allows you to navigate a plane using aircraft instruments. This means you can fly even in adverse weather conditions and you no longer have to rely solely on visual references for navigation.

With an Instrument Rating, a little bit of bad weather doesn’t have to stop you from flying. Reach out to us today to learn more about our program!

Steps to Gaining Your Instrument Rating

The steps to obtaining your Instrument Rating include:

Ground School Training

After meeting the requirements for the Instrument Rating Course, you can begin your ground school training. This training equips you with the knowledge you need to successfully navigate flight under any conditions.

Flight Training

With the Instrument Rating Course, you also get hands-on experience with flight training. This course includes a minimum of 40 hours of simulated instrument and 50 hours of cross-country flight time.

Check Ride

Once you’ve completed your training requirements, it’s time to test your skills with your final check ride. If you pass the check ride, you’re on your way to earning your Instrument Rating.
