Private Pilot Certificate

The first step in building an aviation career is earning your Private Pilot License. This certificate, obtained through the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), shows that you’ve mastered the basics of flying.

Instrument Rating

Earning your instrument rating isn’t a requirement for being a pilot, but you’ll have a challenging time finding a commercial pilot job without it. The Instrument Rating is an essential qualification for commercial pilots and allows you to operate under the Instrument Flight Rules.

Commercial Pilot Certificate

Your love of aviation may have brought you to Kilo Charlie, but the ability to make money doing something you enjoy is invaluable. A commercial pilot certificate is what allows you to make money as a pilot, whether you’re transporting people or cargo.

Flight Instructor Certificate

With a Flight Instructor Certificate, you can work as a Flight Instructor while gaining the experience and hours you need to succeed as a commercial or airline pilot.

Multi-Engine Rating

The multi-engine rating allows you to be the pilot-in-command of an aircraft with multiple engines. Adding this rating to your pilot license makes you more likely to get a job as a commercial pilot.

Become an Experienced Pilot

Steps to earning your pilot’s license:

If becoming an airline pilot is your goal, you’ll need to obtain your Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate, which requires at least 1,500 hours of flight time. This certificate is the highest license you can earn as a pilot and allows you to take your aviation career to new levels.

Our Career Pilot Program in Kansas City allows you to work as a flight instructor while you build your 1,500 hours of flight time.
